The successor to the legacy of the Rebel Fleet which fought against all odds and brought down the mightiest military force in known history, the New Republic Defense Fleet is an integral part of the Combined Defense Forces of the New Republic. Over time is has been the primary focus of the New Republic to turn its military from a rag-tag resistance movement to a legitimate, professional military force.
