Hutt Cartel
The Hutt Cartel consists of the various criminal empires of all Hutts that are a member of it; including the Kajidics of the Hutt species. The Hutt Cartel is led by the Hutt Grand Council, which consists of the leader or representative of the seven most influential and power Kajidics, among whom they select a Grand Mogul to lead the Cartel entirely. Known for being a largely criminal empire, the Hutts have proven valuable on the galactic stage; in particular their allegiance was vied for by the Republic and the Separatists during the Clone Wars. Recently, however, the Hutt Cartel has seemingly become irrelevant, following Imperial led crack downs and the Rebel Alliance/New Republic's refusal to deal with the Hutts. What place the Hutts have in the galaxy today remains to be seen.
