Corporate Sector Authority
Formed in 490 BBY as an effort to settle the differences between the leaders of the Old Republic and the heads of the galaxy's largest corporations, the Corporate Sector is at the end of the Tingel Arm and an ran by the corporations that purchased areas of space ithin. While meant to be supervised by the Republic, the Corporate Sector has been largely independent since its foundation. As with most corporations, much of the Corporate Sector's corporations sided with the Separatists in the Clone Wars. At the end, the largest loyalist corporations that were part of the Corporate Sector were given much of the assets of the previous Separatist aligned companies. Shortly afterwards, these corporations came to now Emperor Palpatine and convinced him to expand the Corporate Sector, founding the government of the Corporate Sector Authority. The CSA was loyal to the Empire, and provided much of its industrial strength.
Since the fall of the Empire, the CSA has remained a neutral power. Selling to both the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic, the New Republic refuses to sign long-standing agreements with the CSA due to it being as bad as the Empire, and the Remnant does not do so either due to the CSA's dealing with the New Republic. With freedom and neutrality, it remains to be seen what direction the CSA will take now that it is a player on the galactic stage.

In addition to planetary patrols, the Security Police provide the troop complements of all Picket Fleet vessels.
