The Scourge Squadron was similar in organization and mission of the Death Squadron. Unlike the Death Squadron which remained in control of the Empire throughout the Imperial Civil War, the Scourge Squadron became the backbone of the breakaway Pentastar Alignment's Enforcement branch, the Alignment's military force. The Pentastar Alignment's forces were dispersed upon the formation of the Imperial Remnant, and following the signing of the Bastion Accords, the Scourge Squadron was reformed from the existing original vessels into an offensive force to complement the remains of the Death Squadron.
