Imperial Navy
The Imperial Navy has been the Empire's premier military service since its inception 44 years ago. Once the primary arm of the most powerful military force the galaxy has ever seen, today the Imperial Navy has more humble status. While many discount the reduced force which largely serves in a defensive role over the eight sectors that are still sovereign Imperial territory, to assume the Navy is a push over would be folly on anyone's part. Still fielding 200 Star Destroyers, the Imperial Navy has undergone reforms since the signing of the Bastion Accords which formally ended the Galactic Civil War. The standards for personnel before the Civil War have been reinstated, and the Imperial Academy system has been restored. For the first time in what seems like a decade, the Imperial Remnant is finally capable of offensive, extraterritorial operations.
