Force Powers
 
  
Common Core Powers
These powers, unless it is unreasonable (e.g. an Initiate), are automatically accessible and usable by a Force sensitive character.

Force Sense - One of the most basic Force abilities, it allows the user to feel another's feelings, the future, ripples in the Force, and the presence of another Force user.

Telepathy - An ability which allows the user to mentally communicate over small or vast distances with other individuals.

Farsight - An ability which allows the user to gain vague impressions of events happening in other places or times using the Force; with the visions focusing on strong imagery and emotions. While most see this manifest in the ability to sense danger, such as an incoming blaster bolt or assassin's blade, some Knights and Masters can focus on this ability and grant the ability to allow their spirit to leave their body for a brief amount of time and go where they please.

Telekinesis - An ability which nearly all Force sensitives have, which allow them to kinetically manipulate objects at their will without touch.

Force Sight - An ability which enhances the users visual and spatial perception, even in the dark or behind walls. An enhanced variant of this ability is seen strictly in Miraluka, who use the ability to "see", but they are able to enhance this ability in others through training.

Force Stealth - An ability which allows a user to mask their presence from other Force Users; with the most skilled able to mask their Force alignment. The power, however, will drain the user of their energy. While essentially limitless, once a user drops the power, it will take some time before they can use other Force powers again.

Force Speed - A Force power that allows the user to maintain sprinting speeds for a brief period of time, it however is not just the ability to run but speeds up the user as a whole, speeding up even their thinking and senses, causing the world seem to pass and move in slow motion. Those with great aptitude are able to use it for long periods time, and increase their speed even further. It does have drawbacks however, as the higher level of use fatigues the user further and requires a longer recovery period relative to the time and level of use.

Force Empathy - Related to Force Sense, this power allows the user to pick up impressions on another individual's emotional state.

Force Jump - The ability to momentarily augment the users leaping ability, with the ability increasing with both experience and training, with most Masters able to leap up to ten times their own height.

Force Push - An ability developed from Telekinesis, which allows the user to move an object or even person further from them.

Force Pull - An ability developed from Telekinesis, which allows the user to draw an object or even person closer to them.

Optional Core Powers
These powers, while not automatically accessible, need simply to be Role-Played out in training, or reasonably acquired in a players background.

Force Cloak - A rare ability which allows a user to appear virtually invisible to the naked eye.

Precognition - Foresight is a common trait in Force Users, expanding upon Force Sense, which allows brief visions into the future. It does, however, require further training to manifest itself from Force Sense.

Force Vision - An ability which not all Jedi are granted, allows them to see detailed glimpses into the future. While intense, to the point of feeling as if it were a real event, the visions are only possibilities and not guaranteed events.

Breath Control - Allows a person to go long periods of time without oxygen intake, by reserving the amount of air already in the lung. For most it only allows a few minutes of time without air, however a Master could easily be able to go several hours without air.

Comprehend Speech - An ability which enables the user to understand the spoken language of any individual they are interacting with, but does not necessarily grant the ability to speak it.

Force Listening - An ability from the Theran Listeners, which allow users to understand words in other languages and listen to other beings talking from a distance.

Levitation - A power which allows the user to suspend themselves against the force of gravity, allowing the illusion of the ability of brief flight in some cases.

Hibernation Trance - An ability that allows Force Users to enter a deep hibernation state, slowing their metabolism and breathing to a standstill. One fully training in this method can stay in this state for up to one week in a dry climate, or one month in a wet climate, before dying from lack of water. While in this state, the user will be fully aware of their surroundings, but it does take time to come out of the trance; with the user appearing dead to all but another Force User. A trigger phrase can be developed that will pull the user out of the trance instantly by another. A Force User can induce a non-Force User into this trance, but must be available to bring them out of it. While in this trance, all injuries will be healed.

Mind Trick - An ability which allows the user to exert influence over other individuals. Hutts, Toydarians, Yinchorri, Kloodavians, Dashade, Falleen, Geonosians, and Snivvians are immune to this ability, and individuals can train themselves to resist it.

Detoxify Poison - An ability which allows the user to render poisons useless.

Tutaminis - A Force technique which allows the user to absorb energy and diffuse it or channel it away, often used by Masters to add to their Force energy.

Art of Movement - A technique which uses repetitive runs through increasingly challenging obstacle courses to refine practical applications of the Force, as well as increasing the mental dexterity and speed of the user.

Center of Being - A form of active meditation, those entering Center of Being often focused inwardly and drop into a defensive with their Lightsaber, from which they can unconsciously defend themselves.

Meditation - Used by Force users, although many non-Force users also use it, to achieve a deeper state of relaxation or awareness. It is often, but not always, through Meditation that a Force user will receive a Force vision. In addition to typical meditation, various techniques were also used. Meditation of Emptiness is used as a means to achieve center and purge the user of emotions. Moving Meditation uses simple movements that are concentrated on in a total; a higher form of which was known as Alchaka, which used endless repetitions of intense stances and movements that left the user exhausted. Floating meditation is a rare technique in which the user levitates off the ground while being deeply submerged within the Force. Healing meditation which focused on healing the body, a step below a Hibernation Trance. Arch Pose, in which the hands and feet are placed firmly on the ground and the user arches their back until reach the highest point at which their body can achieve while remaining firmly planted.

Force Ghost - The most powerful or knowledgeable of Force users have the ability to become one with the Force upon their death. After this, they may apparate to the physical world, as a voice, a gray, featureless blob, or as a glowing apparition of their physical self at some point in their life, including their moment of death, with blue, grey, or red tint to their glow depending on their Force alignment. A Force Ghost may appear to anyone they wish, but it is up to the ability in the Force of the recipient on whether or not they can be heard. They can not physically manipulate the physical world, although some exception are known. [This power requires independent request.]

Advanced Powers
Advanced Powers are the most influential on a Force sensitive character, many being associated with a certain side to the Force. Limit of three for a Initiate, five for a Apprentice, seven for a Knight/Adept, nine for a Master, and eleven for a Council member, and thirteen for a Grand Master/Dark Lord of the Sith.

Universal
Battle Precognition - An advanced form of Precognition, it is a passive power which grants insights into combat situations, allowing the user to have a sense for the movements of an individual, giving them greater ability in defending from an attack. In a larger use, it allows the user insight into battles, allowing them see likely tactics and strategies to be used. The most skilled users can predict the outcome of battles, even entire wars. (All Echani, even those insensitive to the Force, naturally posses this ability. Echani hybrids will also receive this ability, up to the second generation. For those individuals, it is considered a Core Power.)

Battle Meditation - An ability which considerably boosts the morale, stamina, and overall prowess of an individuals allies while simultaneously reducing that of their opponents. With the Force, one can coordinate entire fleets and armies, allowing them to perform at maximum efficiency. It can be performed both in full-scale battle, and small combat among mere individuals. Perhaps one of the most influential abilities seen in the Force, it is rare, thus increasing the value of those that can use it. [Only five characters are able to have this power at a time.]

Dopplegänger - An ability which allows an individual to create a perfect illusion of themselves through the Force, or even objects.

Force Bellow - A power which allows the user to amplify their voice using the Force, which varies from making one's voice akin to a megaphone in volume to being able to use sound waves to destroy objects. (Core Power for Ithorians.)

Force Body­ - A Force technique which allows any Force User to push their body's endurance past a safe limit, ignoring and possibly damaging their health and well-being, in order to sustain their connection to the Force. With this ability, some have been known to live through what might otherwise kill them.

Force Confusion - An ability which will temporarily manipulate an enemy into fighting as an ally.

Force Deflection - An ability which allows user to deflect incoming attacks without a Lightsaber for a momentary time. It is expanded from Force Defend.

Force Flash - An ability which can allow a user to be unseen, either by effecting electronic equipment to cause static for a brief moment, or to produce an unnatural flash of bright light around the individual which can temporarily blind those looking at the individual.

Force Illusion - A powerful Force ability which allows the user to an image into the minds of beings within a certain range of them. The user can mentally control the illusions, and are limited only to their imagination. [Only five characters are able to have this power at a time.]

Force Meld - A refinement of Battle Meditation, it is an ability that allows several users to join their minds together through the Force. Whereas Battle Meditation can influence both Force-sensitives and insensitives of both sides, Force Meld specifically focuses on coordinating and improving the group of Force-sensitives linked together. The technique requires only a Jedi with ability in Battle Meditation, who will link others in at will. (Requires Battle Meditation.)

Force Suppression - A power which requires a great deal of focus and energy to use, it can cancel out any Force powers in use on the target's self.

Force Breach - An advancement of Force Suppression, in addition to the cancellation of any Force powers in use by the target, it will disrupt the target's concentration and focus, but in turn require so much from the user that they will not be able to use Force powers for several moments afterwards themselves. (Requires Force Suppression.)

Force Throw - An advancement of Force Push, it allows objects, and even beings, to be hurled at a target with astounding velocity. Skilled users can thrown multiple objects at once. (Includes Saber Throw.)

Force Barrier - An ability which erects a wall of Force energy around a target, be it self, friend, or force. Able to absorb a wide range of damage, but lasts only a short time.

Force Whirlwind - A variation of Force Push, it causes an kinetic vortex which can lift and throw targeted individuals and surrounding objects.

Force Wave - A variation of Force Push, which caused a wave of kinetic energy to push all things, friend, foe and objects alike, out away from the user. Akin to a kinetic explosion, the more powerful an individual becomes the further out they can push.

Force Repulse - A Force power which is in fact an advancement of Force Push, it exerts a powerful wave of kinetic energy in an extreme explosion, similar to Force Wave, however the wave can be focused in one direction or completely outward. Extremely powerful and skilled practitioners who are Masters are known to be able to disintegrate beings and objects near them upon use of the power.

Force Weapon - An ability which allows the user to empower an object with the Force for a period of time, with some of the most advanced users being able to even empower their Lightsabers.

Phase - An ability which allows the user to phase through physical matter.

Psychometry - A mental technique which allows the user to pick up impressions and information from an object through touch about the events that have surrounded it. (Optional Core Power for Kiffar that does not require RP to aquire.)

Sever Force - An extremely powerful Force technique which will, at least temporarily and possibly permanently, the target's connection to the Force. [Limited to only characters who are Council level or higher.]

Shatterpoint - A rare, and sometimes imperceptible, passive ability; the user is able to see the "fault lines" within the Force and becomes able to influence them. Shatterpoints are an exotic concept, as they can exist in the fabric of time, being singular events that can have galaxy-spanning consequences, or exist within an individual, or even simple objects. A user can see how a singular event could spark a war, or know where on the body to focus on an enemy in order to trigger previous injuries, or know where to hit a pane of transparisteel in order to instantly shatter it. [Only two characters are able to have this power at a time.]

Tapas - A Force technique that allows the user to stay warm in a cold environment. It is possible to user this power, in conjunction with Force Barrier and Breath Control, to survive in an environment without atmosphere, and even a vacuum, for a limited amount of time.

Telekinetic Lightsaber Combat - A technique used by powerful duelists, allow them to telekinetically wield Lightsabers in combat. Masters of the technique can use it to wield separate Lightsabers in battle, each with their own will. (Includes Saber Barrier.)

Alter Damage - A Force technique taught by the Jedi Order which allows the user to change the damage inflicted by their Lightsaber, often seen by those that have strove to become masters of Lightsaber combat, allowing one to make a strike that may have killed a being to simply wound them, among other similar differences.

Flashburn - An often insular ability, it has been found in some Force users, as a reaction to traumatic experiences, that their brain may automatically erase a particularly traumatic memory, causing it to seemingly cease to exist. Some Force Users, however, have been found to be able to use this ability on others. [Ability to use it on another being is limited to two characters at anytime, referred to as Outward Flashburn , and requires use as an advanced power.]

Alter Image - An ability which allows the being to change their personal features, including height, weight, skin color, facial features, sex voice, body shape, clothing, and species. The changes can be kept up until the user loses consciousness or concentration. While essentially limitless, it will take a moment upon being dropped for the individual to use other Force powers.

Combustion - A Force ability which allows users to cause an object to explode by sheer force of will. It can be used on any object, and even individuals, but use against individuals is highly discouraged and considered the act of the Dark Side.

Convection - A Force ability which allows users to cause an object to briefly cause their skin to burn at a high temprature without lasting harm to themselves, burning those they touch. The user will briefly suffer from heat exhaustion and experience dehydration.

Pyrokinesis - An ability which allows the user to manipulate and generate fire, through existing material.

Mechru-deru - A rare Force power which allows the user to sense the complex structures of technology and allows an intuitive understanding of engineering concepts. This power can allow control of mechanical objects and even to infuse the energy of the Force within mechanical objects. [Limited to two characters at any time.]

Force Subjugate - An extreme form of Mind Trick, Force Subjugate allows the user to manipulate the emotions of a target.

Force Flight - An extreme form of Levitation, some exceptional individuals may expand upon the power to achieve the ability of effective flight in limited amounts and distances. [Currently limited to Luke Skywalker.]

Shadow Vision - A Force power which allows the user to see in all light conditions, while also granting the ability to physically see those rendered invisible. [Currently only known to the Disciples of Twilight.]

Revelation - A lesser version of Shadow Vision, Revelation allows the user to perceive objects and beings in extremely low light situations. [Currently only known to the Disciples of Twilight.]

Art of the Small - A radical and extremely rare Force technique, Art of the Small allows the user to shrink their presence in the Force down to the molecular level, which in turn allows them to manipulate the molecules around them, including their own. [Currently limited to only Vergere, who is the only one who can teach it at this time.]

Fighting-Sight - A highly accurate form of precognition used while fighting, it goes beyond all known forms of precognition, with the user being aware of space and time itself, often being mistake for Flow-Walking by those familiar with the technique. [Currently only known to the Aing-Tii.]

Flow-Walking - An Aing-Tii ability, Flow-Walking allows a user to enter time itself and view the events of the past and future, although viewing future events is far more harder and far less accurate. Viewing the the past may change a person's perception of the past, but not the past itself; nor can the future be altered directly through this method. This power is not time travel, but more appropriately time viewing. A user must remain connected to the real world or risk losing themselves within the flow of time.

Dark Transfer - A theoretical Force power believed to be rooted in the Dark Side, Dark Transfer allows the user to bring other beings back from the brink of death. It can in fact be used through the Light Side of the Force as well, despite common misconception. [This ability is currently unavailable.]

Light
Alter Environment - A Force technique which allows the individual to manipulate nature around them. This ability utilizes the Force energy of the environment rather than the Force energy of the user, allowing them to use it without nearly any exertion of their own Force energy.

Animal Friendship - An ability which allows the user to calm and control animals in various ways.

Battlemind - A power in which one's morale and fighting focus is augmented through sheer focus. It will allow the user to push past their physical limits, and will fight with a fiery and controlled passion. Some who can not control their attraction to the Dark Side will find themselves pulled to it while using this power.

Crucitorn - An ability which allows the user to transcend physical pain beyond normal thresholds. One can also use it against individuals, to either decrease the pain felt by an injury, or make an injury seem more severe than it really is.

Ionize - A power which allows the user to overload and damage electrical systems.

Force Blinding - An ability which allows a blinding flash to emanate from the user's hand, which causes temporary blindness in those looking at the flash of light.

Force Enlightenment - When used, this power takes the Force powers one is most skilled in, and pushes them to highest degree that has been mastered during their training; in this day and age, the only powers it is taught to enlighten are Force Seed, Force Defend, and Force Valor, causing the Jedi to use all three powers at once. (Requires Force Speed, Force Defend and Force Valor.)

Force Healing - Used to accelerate the natural healing process rapidly. Those with a high degree of skill can heal not only flesh and bone, but internal injuries as well. This power can be turned on others as well, with a Master being to heal themselves and several individuals simultaneously.

Force Light - A Force power which grants the user the ability to cause a physical manifestation of the Light Side of the force. When used against a Darksider, it can weaken their connection to the Force to the point of making them unable to use their Force powers. It can be used against Dark Side manifestations or nexus points as well to rid the Dark Side's influence and corruption, however this may have a detrimental effect. Several Jedi who use the power can create a Wall of Light, which can purge particularly strong areas of Dark Side influence, or have a similar effect as Sever Force upon a Dark Side user.

Force Orb - An underwater Force power, it creates ball of air which can be thrown to cause physical damage upon targets. (Optional Core Power for aquatic-species Jedi.)

Force Defend - An ability which allows the individual to absorb energy. Commonly taught, one can focus on the ability in order to dissipate concentrated energy, such as blaster bolts, or in some cases, even a Lightsaber blade.

Protection Bubble - An ability which allows the user to create a bubble of shimmering energy around them which protects them from any damage, deflecting any attacks against it, and inflicts damage upon those who come into contact with it.

Force Stun - An ability which can temporarily deaden the senses and perceptions of a target, preventing most movement.

Force Stasis - An advance form of Force Stun, which renders the target into a near-catonic state. (Requires Force Stun.)

Force Stasis Field - An advance form of Force Stun, which renders several targets into a near-catonic state. (Requires Force Stun and Force Stasis.)

Force Valor - A power which increases the resolve, accuracy, and speed of one's self and allies. Many older Force users can use this power to overcome the disability inflicted by age.

Malacia - A technique which is used to cause intense dizziness and nausea in a target by turning their equilibrium against them, sometimes causing the target to uncontrollably vomit. It requires no use of Force energy by the user.

Morichro - An advancement from the Meditation Trance, Morichro suspends all biological functions in a being. A user that turns this power upon themselves, can survive for a year at a time in the state. Unlike the Meditation Trance, which requires a willing subject, Morichro can be turned on others at will. This must be done carefully however, as misuse can cause a target to become permanently unconscious, and failure to monitor a subject in this state can cause them to die of dehydration or starvation. [Only two characters are able to have this power at a time.]

Plant Surge - A Force power which allows the channeling of the Force and energy of life into plants.

Revitalize - A technique which allows the user to revitalize exhausted, wounded, or unconscious allies, or even themselves.

Cleanse Mind - A power which purges the target, be it themselves or others, of negative thoughts and emotions.

Electric Judgement - A Light Side version of Force Lightning, which is without variants and can be controlled in power level and effect. Developed by Jedi Master Plo Koon following its spontaneous use, Electric Judgement is a pragmatic power, drawing upon Ionize and Force Stun which displays as yellow or green energy. It was controversial in its use by the Old Jedi Order, but has come into limited use by the New Jedi Order upon Luke Skywalker's mastery of it.

Dark
Deadly Sight - A power which focuses the user's hatred into deadly energy by mere sight of an individual. A victim's body will smoke and burn until death, with Masters able to inflict it upon groups of individuals. It is tiring to sustain however, with only a few moments of use possible, and the wider use of it decreases the amount of damage inflicted upon the targets. Upon use, it will take several moments before other Force powers can be used. When used, the power will inflict damage upon friend and foe alike.

Drain Knowledge - An ability which allows the user to forcibly extract knowledge out of a target without their consent. Far beyond simply telepathy, it disrupts the Force to steal deep memories and information in a violent and merciless way which can psychologically damage a victim.

Force Destruction - A power which allows the user to create massive energy fields and throw them in any direction. Those with direct contact with the thrown field can be severely injured or even vaporized by it, while those who escape direct contact but are nearby can be thrown by its wake.

Force Drain - An ability which allows the user to siphon the health of another to rejuvenate themselves. At its most extreme, it can utterly exhaust the targeted individual; however some of the most powerful individuals can outright kill a target. The talent is exhausting, however, and will disallow use of other Force powers for several moments after its use and can be become addictive to the user.

Force Fear - A Dark Side perversion of the Jedi mind trick, Force Fear strikes directly as a target's mind, causing uncontrollable shaking fear which will effect the target's abilities. Particularly adept users can go so far as to rapidly demoralize the target and fill them with hopelessness and regret, which can lead to the target cowering in fear or outright running from the user. It has similar limitations as the Mind Trick.

Force Horror - An advancement of Force Fear, it can cause multiple enemies to enter a catonic state of panic, with similar symptoms as Force Fear. It has similar limitations as the Mind Trick. (Requires Force Fear.}

Force Insanity - An advancement of Force Fear and Force Horror which can cause a group of individuals to descend into an utter state of frenzied madness and deranged mania. It has similar limitations as the Mind Trick. (Requires Force Fear and Force Horror.)

Force Lightning - A Force power which unleashes arcs of electricity from the fingertips of a user. The user may use one or two hands to use the power, but the limb must be living tissue and uncovered. If the user is wearing armor that is not specially insulated, the user will inflict the power upon themselves. The energy appears as blue or white, but has been known to also appear as purple or red.

Force Storm - An advancement of Force Lighting, in which the user may raise their hand, and cause an explosion of electrical energy to rain down upon all foes in close proximity to them. It has the same rules as Force Lightning. (Requires Force Lightning.)

Chain Lightning - A variation of Force Lightning, which will cause the initial charge to hit one target and then travel to individuals with a certain range of the original target. While powerful, it requires intense concentration and energy to project, and each continued arc requires further concentration and energy. (Requires Force Lightning.)

Kinetite - A variation of Force Lightning, in which the user can form spheres of kinetic energy and hurl them as solid projectiles which do not electrocute or burn their target. (Requires Force Lightning.)

Force Maelstrom - Using a combination of Protection Bubble, Telekinesis, and Force Lightning, the user can create a powerful outward blast of lightning that effects all nearby individuals and objects. (Requires Force Lightning, Telekinesis, and Force Lightning.)

Force Shock - A lower form of Force Lightning, it creates an energy charge that can shock, but not kill, a target. It has the same rules as Force Lightning.

Force Rage - An ability which allows the user to tap into their innermost fears, pain and hate, and convert it into a powerful rage which is then channeled to increase their speed, strength, and ferocity. Some Jedi are able to use it, but for most, should they use it, they will fall to the Dark side.

Force Scream - An ability which allows a scream of strong frustration, rage, or grief through the Force. It triggers a shockwave through the Force which can disorient or even damage individuals around the user.

Force Slow - A power which clouds the target's mind and causes them to slow down both mentally and physically.

Force Affliction - An ability expanded from Force Slow, which causes the targets body to act as if it has been poisoned by a toxin. It can debilitate a target and induce actual illness. (Requires Force Slow.)

Force Plague - An expansion from Force Affliction, it induces physical illness in the target to the point of debilitation, which gets worse over time and can result in the victim's death. (Requires Force Slow and Force Affliction.)

Force Wound - The ability, through the force, to telekinetically apply pressure to a victim's body or organs. It can inflict injury upon the target, causing them incredible pain and suffering.

Force Grip - An ability which seizes the target with great strength and lifts them in the air, from which they can be thrown or dropped.

Force Choke - An ability which allows the user to telekinetically crush a living being's throat. The power only requires visual of the target, however any break in concentration from the target will end the effect. While use may not directly kill the target, a target's death can be achieved either through oxygen deprivation or using it so hard that it crushes the target's windpipe.

Force Crush - An ability which lifts the target off the ground, and implodes their body with the Force, often crushing the organ of the target. It can be used to kill a being.

Mind Control - A power which can allow the user to take complete control of the mind of a victim. It has similar limitations as the Mind Trick.

Sith Alchemy - A science which uses both process and the Force to alter items and living beings. Those who use it can create or modify beasts and even individuals, and enhance weapons and armor. Some Masters can use it to wake the dead and force them to serve the user's will. In addition, the user can create Sith Poison, a toxin which increases the rage of a target and can ultimately uncontrollably force an individual over to the Dark Side.

Spear of Midnight Black - A power which allows the user to summon Dark Side energy and forge it into an invisible spear which they can then hurl at targets, which will wound or even kill as if it were a real spear.

Force Phantom - A ritual related to Sith Alchemy which allows the user to siphon the Force energy of another life form and project a lifelike apparition of that being anywhere in the universe. When the phantom is destroyed, the targeted life form also dies. (Requires Sith Alchemy.) [Currently limited to Lumiya.]

Force Sphere - Developed by Darth Maul, it creates a sphere of red energy around the user which harms opponents and deflects blaster fire, for a brief time. (Requires Protection Bubble and Force Lightning.)

Thought Bomb - Discovered by Darth Revan, but not used until the New Sith Wars by Kaan and the Brotherhood of Darkness, the Thought Bomb combines the focused willpower of many Sith Lords and unleashes the Dark Side of the Force physically. Nearly planet scale explosion result in the use of the Thought Bomb, which destroy the physical bodies of its victims and traps their spirits. The only known use of the Thought Bomb resulted in the Valley of the Jedi on Ruusan, and its victims were freed into the Force by Kyle Katarn. [This ability is currently unavailable.]

Torture by Chagrin - Also known as Memory Walk, it is a Force ability developed by Rokur Gepta.
