• The Beast Wars on Onderon, waged by the Beast Riders, criminals exiled by the Nadd dynasty into the wilderness, are ended when the Jedi join the Beast Riders and overthrow the Naddists.

3,998 BBY
• The Naddists attempt a last ditch effort to regain power on Onderon, and fail at the hands of the new government, the Jedi, and the Republic.

3,997 BBY
• The Ketos stage a military and political coup in the Empress Teta system, establishing the Krath as a government and beginning the Krath Holy Crusade.
• A joint Jedi/Republic task force attempts to intercede at Empress Teta, but are thwarted by Aleema Keto's Sith Magic.
• The Jedi Concalve on Deneba is disrupted by Krath War Droids, ending in victory for the Jedi but also the death of Jedi Master Arca Jeth.
• Ulic Qel-Droma infiltrates the Krath but falls to the dark side and becomes the leader of the Krath.
• Exar Kun seeks Sith teachings, being guided by Freedon Nadd's spirit on Dxun to Yavin IV. He kills Nadd's spirit and begins to seek out Ulic Qel-Droma as a potential rival.
• Kun and Qel-Droma duel on Empress Teta, being stopped by the spirit of Marka Ragnos who annoits the two Dark Lords of the Sith. Simultaneously, Nomi Sunrider attempts to resuce Qel-Droma who refuses the effort and founds the Brotherhood of the Sith with Kun.
• The Great Sith War begins.

3,996 BBY
• The Great Sith War is ended in the Cron Supernova. Ulic Qel-Droma is stripped of the Force and exiled while the spirit of Exar Kun becomes trapped on Yavin IV.
• The Mandalorian Crusaders settle on Dxun. Over the next few years the Neo-Crusaders rise with the dying out of the Taung species due to cross-breeding and low numbers.
• The Czerka Corporation begins its mining operations on Tatooine.

3,995 BBY
• The Great Hunt, targeting Terentateks, is begun by the Jedi.
• The Galactic Republic begins to rebuild from the short but devastating Great Sith War, becoming known as the Restoration Period.

3,993 BBY
• The Great Hunt is officially ended. In secret, the last world known to have Terentateks, Korriban, is targeted by Duron Qel-Droma, Shaela Nuur, and Guun Han Saresh.
• The secret mission to Korriban falls apart when Saresh turns against his counterparts due to their relationship, and is killed by a Tarentatek on Kashyyyk, while Qel-Droma and Nuur are killed on Korriban by another Tarentatek.
• The Jedi Covenant is founded, dedicated to preventing the rise of the Sith at any cost.

• Krynda Draay receives the Prophecy of the Five.

3,985 BBY
• As part of the Restoration, the Galactic Senate passed the Coruscant Financial Exchange Establishment Act, which enables corporations to invest into the government infrastructure of the Galactic Republic in exchange for Republic security on hyperroutes. 

3,976 BBY
• The Mandalorian Wars begin with the Battle of Althir, and continuing with the Mandalorian conquest of independent Outer Rim worlds.

3,973 BBY
• The Battle of Cathar is fought which results in the death of 90% of the Cathar species.

3,970 BBY
• Argazda declares the Kanz Sector independent, now known as the Argazdan Redoubt, beginning the Kanz Disorders.

3,965 BBY
• The Mandalorians begin to engage with Republic forces.

3,964 BBY
• The Padawan Massacre occurs on Taris.
• The Mandalorian Wars see the beginning of official open conflict between the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders and the Galactic Republic.

3,963 BBY
• The Mandalorians press their advantage against the Republic.
• A splinter faction of the Jedi join the Republic's war effort against the Mandalorians in defiance of the High Council, becoming known as the Revanchists.
• The Jedi Covenant is destroyed.

3,962 BBY
• The Mandalorians reach the Core Worlds, conquering Duro.

3,961 BBY
• The leader of the Revanchists, now known simply as Revan, discovers the Star Map on Kashyyyk.

3,960 BBY
• The Republic turns the tide against the Mandalorians with victories at Onderon and the Lianna system.
• The Mandalorians are lured into a massive battle at Malachor V. The Mandalorians, and the planet of Malachor V itself, are devestated by the fighting. During his victorious duel with Mandalore the Ultimate, Revan learns that the Mandalorian Wars were orchestrated by the Sith.
• Meetra Surik looses her connection to the Force in the aftermath of Malachor V.
• Revan and Malak go rogue with a third of the Republic's forces. They seek out the Sith.
• Revan and Malak on their own visit Rekkiad, then Nathema, and finally arrive on Dromund Kaas. They encounter the Sith Emperor who mentally dominates them using Sith Magic and turns them to the dark side, after which they seek out the Star Forge.

3,959 BBY
• Darth Revan and Darth Malak find the Star Forge. They use it to produce a massive military force.
• The Jedi Civil War begins with the establishment of Revan's Sith Empire and the establishment of the Sith Academy on Korriban.
• The remaining Tarentateks in the Galaxy awaken.
• Meetra Surik returns to the Jedi and is put on trial. She is exiled from the Jedi Order.

3,958 BBY
• Saul Karath defects to the Sith, orchestrating the surprise attack against the remaining Republic Fleet, revealing themselves to the Galaxy.
• Telos IV is orbitally bombarded.

3,957 BBY
• A Jedi Strike Team attempts to capture or defeat Revan, only to assisted by Malak turning on Revan.
• Darth Malak becomes the Dark Lord of the Sith.

3,956 BBY
• Revan is forcibly redeemed by the High Council, who establish a false identity within his mind. He unknowingly assists the Jedi and the Republic in fighting and defeating Malak and his own Sith Empire.
• Taris is destroyed by orbital bombardment.
• Tarentateks are rendered extinct.
• Dantooine is assaulted by the Sith and the Jedi Enclave is destroyed.
• The Star Forge is destroyed and the Jedi Civil War ends.
• Revan departs for the Unknown Regions.
• Atris begins collecting Sith Holocrons and brings them to Telos IV.

3,955 BBY
• Supreme Chancellor Tol Cressa begins the Telos Restoration Project.
• The remains of Revan's Sith Empire breaks apart and begins fighting one another. The Sith Academy is destroyed on Korriban, and the planet is rendered lifeless by the fighting.
• The Dark Wars begin with the union of Darth Traya, Darth Sion, and Darth Nihilus. They become known as the Sith Triumverate.

• Darth Traya is taken down by Sion and Nihilus, wandering the galaxy under her original name of Kreia.
• The Sith Civil War is largely ended by Sion and Nihilus either uniting the remains of Revan's Sith Empire or eliminating other Sith warlords.
• The First Jedi Purge begins as Sith Assassins seek to exterminate the remaining Jedi.

3,952 BBY
• The Conclave on Katarr is attacked by Darth Nihilus who absorbes the life of all living beings on the planet, save on; Visas Marr. When Marr is found, she becomes Nihilus' apprentice.

3,951 BBY
• Peragus II is destroyed.
• Meetra Surik begins to feel the Force again and is mentored by Kreia. She proceeds to attempt to find the surviving members of the High Council to understand what happened to her.
• The Onderon Civil War occurs. General Vaklu initiates a military coup against Queen Anora which ends in failure at the hands of Meetra Surik and Jedi Mastar Kavar.
• Darth Nihilus leads a failed attack on Citadel Station over Telos IV.
• Malachor V is destroyed, ending the First Jedi Purge and the Dark Wars.
• Naboo is discovered and permanently settled by humans five decades later.

3,950 BBY
• The Sith Civil War finally ends with the disintegration of Revan's Sith Empire, and full reclaimation of its worlds by the Republic.
• Meetra Surik leaves for the Unknown Regions in search of Revan.
• The Sith Emperor kills off the Dark Council, replacing them with more favorable Sith Lords.
• Revan and Meetra Surik, both now bearing the rank of Jedi Master, attempt to assassinate the Sith Emperor with the help of Sith Lord Scourge, but fail due to Scourge's betrayal. Surik is killed and Revan is placed into stasis by the Emperor.
