Creating a character is perhaps the most challenging aspect of RP. It is also one where it may be slightly difficult to help with as it depends on the player as to who or what you will be playing, as well as the how behind it all.

The first step in creating a character is figuring out what they do, and what their name is. What they do is completely up to you, we allow literally any character you can possible think of, within the realm of common sense. Their name, is also up to you, we simply ask you try to follow Star Wars or real-world naming conventions wherever possible.

The second step is figuring out their appearance. In this case, your avatar must be of what the character looks like, or reasonably so. Unlike many RPGs, we do not have a face claim system. You can have three different characters who use George Clooney as a face. This is perfectly fine, as look-alikes occur in real-life, and that would be the situation here (just don't become upset if someone remarks upon this occurence). The appearance of a character should generally match the face of the character; image manipulation is an acceptable work-around on this issue.

The third step is figuring out who the character is; this refers to their biography up until the point of posting, and if you wish, their personality. This one is really on you, but if you need help, there will always be a friendly face available among our Management team to help you out.

The fourth step is coming up with their possessions. This means building a list of the vehicles and items in their possession, and it should be a reasonable list, generally only the items that they can carry collectively at one time. There are exceptions to this, and we again ask that the list remains reasonable, and limited to the item they may use in the RP at some point, but understand if its a bit longer.

The fifth step is optional, some do it, some don't. Building up their family. Some RPers like to include the characters family into their RP, or they may just be a part of their backround, or may not be mentioned ever at all. This is, again, up to you.

While the Rules state this, it should be repeated; you do not need to apply for your character, merely post their profile then get going. That is unless you are playing a canon character. Any canon character, big or small, requires an application including a full profile and roleplay sample.

We do not have a required template, but we ask that a profile include, name, gender (biological, but feel free to include identity as well if it applies), species, age, personal items (weapons, armor, clothing (e.g. Jedi robes), any items of note), vehicles, Force User information (if applicable), and a biography. There should be an expectation that the biography of your character is a matter of public record, but that does not mean everything needs to be in it, as we all have secrets, and if you wish to post a secret, merely note that it is in fact so.

If you do need a template, or an idea to go off of, here is the template designed by our founder, Gigantic J. Again, this is not a standard or required template.
