Personality: Brash and unreserved, he is an open-minded individual, but often lets his opinion be known. He is particularly ruthless and brutal in combat, many shocked by his tactics and strategies, but none can argue with his results and success rate. Despite seemingly sociopathic tendencies, he does care for individuals around him, considering his peers brothers and his subordinates sons, but rarely allows for those around him to know anything but a cold and calculating individual.

Background: He was born and raised on a farm outside of Hazard on Dantooine by parents who were once mercenaries but had turned to a life of rural, Outer Rim living. When he was 12, the farm failed, and his family moved to Coruscant, which caused him to develop a distinct accent and slang. During the Clone Wars, both his parents served the Republic, emancipating him before they deployed. He attempted several times to enlist himself, failing on each attempt.

When he was of age for enlistment, the Republic had become the Empire. He still wished to serve and joined the Imperial Army. He took to combat training quickly, and sought to master the Empire's techniques. After two years of service, he became a Special Missions Trooper and had reached the rank of Sergeant. After two additional years, he successfully entered and completed Commando training, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant.

His time as a Commando exposed him to more and more of what become a startling reality for him; the Empire was an oppressive and tyranical regime hypocritical of its own goals and values. During the Reconquest of the Rim, both of his parents died, causing him to blindly follow the Empire. It wasn't until he was on Kashyyyk that he had his eyes truly opened. He had become nothing more than a slaver, and after six years of service, one fateful night he decided to terminate his own enslavement to the Empire. Wishing to give the Wookiees a fighting chance, while on guard, he snuck into the power generator control room of his base and overloaded the reactors. Escaping just in time to be safe of the resulting blast, his base, one of the largest on the planet, was annihilated. Deemed a freak accident, it wasn't until he turned up as the only living survivor later that his complicity in the base's destruction was confirmed by the Empire, which put out a bounty on him.

Seeking somewhere safe to go, he assumed a false identity, and went to work as an ESPO in the Corporate Sector. They pay and the benefits were immeasurably better than that of the Empire, however he was beginning to be unable to stomach his duties there as well, and his true identity was found, leading to a fight for survival against the CSA and Empire that resulted in a lengthy criminal record, and a large bounty on his head from both the Empire and the CSA.

At this point, he headed to Hutt Space, where neither the Empire or the CSA dared to go, and began work as a mercenary and bounty hunter. He quickly earns fame in the region due to his background, extensive gear, ability, and willingness to accept and complete any job. Over the years, his moral code had been crushed and he soon became ultimately interested only in himself and credits; often working for a Hutt called Malum the Horrible. Despite his seeming turn down a path of sociopathy, he willingly takes on operations against the Empire and CSA, increasing his bounty. Eventually, he joins a crew of mercenaries, who when not conducting missions, operate as pirates.

During one of his crew's pirate raid on a ship, the Captain, recognizing him for who he was, talks him into joining the crew, offering him better pay and a solid bunk. He turned on his team, and  proceeded to serve with the smuggling crew as their weapons specialist, maintaining the weapons of the craft and the crew, and selling excess weapons they procured during their operations. As a bit of a joke, the captain takes to calling him their "Public Relations Officer", as he was paid to either carry heavy objects that were their cargo or shoot people.

Over his time with the crew, he began to open up again, and found his humanity was returning to him. Although many on the crew were scared of him and avoided him, thanks to his past, his method in joining them, and his often brutish ways, some of the crew began to open up to him. He and the mechanic formed a bit of an odd couple relationship, with him often seen when not tending to his duties either helping the mechanic with repairs and manufacturing or arguing with him. On more than one occasion the Captain had to break up a fight, and during one particularly heated arguement in which blaster fire was exchanged, threatening to kick both of them off of the ship. Despite some issues, they were generally a happy, albeit dysfunctional, family. That's what made the end heartbreaking. The Captain was arrested by the Empire, following which the crew risked their lived to rescue him. Shortly afterwards, he kicked all of them off the ship, and married a woman.

The entire crew went their seperate ways. He went the direction he only knew, and that was to return to Nar Shaddaa. There, he found a badly damaged Blastboat that had been abandoned by the Empire upon crashing that had been picked clean of useful parts. It was free, and he had no other choice but to begin to fix it up through credits he made from bounty hunting and mercenary work.

While on Nar Shaddaa, he found that Thalia Atriedes had also ended up there, working as a waitress in a strip club and bar. While she wasn't necessarily defenseless, he felt very protective over her. At first, he had romantic intentions with her, but when their navigator seemed to have the upper hand in the competition for her, it became more of a brotherly bond with her. He watched her from a far, not sure if he should reunite with her, and ensured she safely reached home every night from a distance, that is until one man couldn't take no for an answer. Although she defender herself from his forced advance, when he wouldn't give up on  the idea, he came in to permanently take care of the situation. She was shocked by his sudden entry, but happy to see him. That night, he stayed with her as she was upset about the man trying to force himself upon her, but it ultimately led to beginning of their romantic relationship.

Over the years, their love blossomed. In their spare time, he taught Thalia how to fight and shoot, while she increasingly dragged the humanity, kicking and screaming, out of him. Once he had repaired the Blastboat fully, having modified it for single-user operation, turning the crew comparment into living quarters, and having rearranged the power plant to use a portion of the port compartment as a holding cell and a portion of the starboard compartment as a refresher; he and Thalia went out into the galaxy on their own.

Five years before the Battle of Yavin, the captain of his former vessel turned back up seeking out his old crew. Interestingly enough, he was the first to rejoin him, and after many arguements, he talked Thalia into doing so as well. With the rest of the crew having fully moved on in their own lives, they found a new crew and returned to a life of smuggling. Unlike before, his life as a bounty hunter and mercenary continued, with his ship being docked with the freighter when not out on a mission.

Over the coming years, they began to increasingly fight against the Empire, joining many small operators in doing so. When a rebellion formally began against the Empire, he saw the birth of his daughter, which led to his realization that he did not want her to live in a galaxy in which the Galactic Empire existed. Once he was able to find them a safehouse, he joined the Rebellion, becoming a member of Alliance Special Operations, joining a Mission Group.

Although his team members hated him for it, he was later part of the formation of the Alliance Special Forces, himself becoming a trainer and given the rank of Sergeant in the Alliance Army. He specializiedin training, and often deployed with, SpecForce Marines and Urban Combat Specialists, and was ultimately recruited for Renegade Squadron by Col Serra while he was on Yavin, deployed with the Rangers and serving as general trainer of new recruits for the Alliance Army.

By the end of his time with Renegade Squadron following the Battle of Endor, he had been promoted up to Lieutenant and was a highly decorated officer. Unlike many of his teammates, he continued to serve the Rebel Alliance, accepting a promotion to Captain and often tasked with leading Taskforce Companies in the field. His ability as a leader and a soldier, which many would not expect from his former life, became truely known during the campaign to take the Core. By now a Major, it was his Taskforce Company which served as the spearhead unit in the New Republic Army's advance into the Palace district in the Liberation of Coruscant; following which he was promoted to Colonel. Over the proceeding year, he was promoted up to the rank of General, taking command of New Republic Special Forces upon Crix Madine's death.

He took the death of Madine hard, for the man had been a mentor to him, and helped him realize that a man of his background would be able to rise above his past and achieve greatness within the Rebellion. Despite repeated attempts to move him higher into the hierarchy of the New Republic Defense Force, he remained in his position as head of New Republic Special Forces as a tribute to Madine. Only now, that peace has been achieved with the Empire, has he considered taking a promotion.
