"I watched my family die at the hands of the Empire. I watched my world burn at the hands of the Empire. I fought to ensure that no one else had to suffer as I had. Personality: He tends to be quiet, observing those around him and getting a feel for them, said to be able to be invisible in a room;  unless he is around those he loves, knows, or is comfortable with, in which case he is often expressive. He is known to be a bit argumentative, willing to debate anyone on any subject, especially those he feels strongly about, but with this comes a willingness to change his views and opinion when proven wrong. He has taken to studying military history, much as Thrawn studied art, for insights into his enemies. He can often be found conducting war games and battle simulations, either through a terminal or in his head, and in his spare time comes up with war plans. Despite his status now as a fleet commander, he is known to keep up his ratings on starfighters and attempts to maintain his Ace flying form. He is also known to maintain excellent surface combat skills, as he has his entire career.

Background: Born in Mithra on Deralia, and raised at the Aurelius Estate, Tiberius was born into a family considered the premier family on all of Deralia. His father, Julius, was the Crown-Prince before the Separatist Crisis halted the Deralian monarchy and, despite lack of title, lead the Deralia Military Forces in the Clone Wars on the side of the Republic, and his mother, Augusta, served for a time as the Senator of Deralia and the Tammuz Sector, from 16 BE until 1 AE.

He was raised in the traditions of Deralia, including preparations for possibly taking the crown of Deralia, and entered the prestigious Agoge Academy secondary school and graduated valedictorian of his class. He moved on to, and graduated valedictorian, the Republic Military Academy-Carida. It is the last class of cadets to graduate under the Republic.

He entered the Clone Wars as a fighter pilot, based aboard the Venator Star Destroyer Guardian, which at first serves in the Outer Rim Sieges at Ord Radama, and later spearheads the assault against the Neimoidian Purse Worlds. He later found himself a member of the party of Republic Officers, led by Commander Kieran Nadia, that accept the formal surrender of Neimoidia, following the dismantlement of the Separatist Council. Being one of the invaluable, birth-born veterans of the Clone Wars, despite his brief service, is promoted to Captain and given command of his own fighter squadron, aboard the prestigous Venator Star Destroyer Guarlara.

He lead the initial squadron fielding the new TIE/ln Starfighter, and proceeds to bounce from squadron to squadron to train and integrate the new fighters, making the 183rd Imperial Fighter Wing, the first TIE equipped wing in the Empire. Following this success, he is promoted to Commander and given command of a fighter group.

Later,  he gained commands of the 183rd Imperial Fighter Wing, following Colonel Nadia's transfer to Weapons Development, and leads the 183rd through the Renetasia Campaign, receiving several decorations and a promotion to Colonel. Following the successful campaign, he wrote several manuals for the Imperial Starfighter Corps on surface and orbital operations. Having one of the highest active kill counts in the Starfighter Corps, he later writes several manuals on deep space operations as well.

Due to his experience, and the fact that Starfighter Corps operations and doctorine were now based on his writings, he was made a Flight Instructor at the secret Prefsbelt IV Academy, established solely for fighter pilots. Showing a natural talent for training, he was transfered to Carida, to serve as an Training Instructor. He took over for a retiring instructor on a second-year class, whose notable cadets include Soontir Fel and Han Solo.

When word began to spread of his reknown, as well as of a yet to be sent communique which points out the weakness of current Imperial starfighters and the need for more technologically advanced craft, he is rewarded with transfer into the Imperial Navy as a Captain, and assignment to the Death Star as the Chief of Naval Operations; a six year assignment. The move is seen as a celebration of his accomplishments as the greatest pilot of his generation, but in reality is a way to keep an eye on him, placing him directly under the authority and influence of Grand Moff Tarkin.

During his time as Chief of Naval Operations, he helped develop the starfighter and capital ship based defenses of the Death Star. Of notable dispute was his lobbying for a full fleet of warships to protect the Death Star from a fleet-based attack and using the station's starfighters to devote to anti-starfighter operations, but confidence in the Death Star lead to this plan being scrapped by Admiral Motti, with Motti heavily modifying his defense plans.

He was known to regularly participate in late night debates with Moff Tarkin on the status of the Empire, galactic affairs, morality, military tactics and strategy, and even the Tarkin Doctorine itself. His fearless nature was valued by Tarkin, who recognized that he was unafraid to share his opinion, even if it was against convention or would upset his superiors. He became fast friends with High General Cassio Tagge, finding a like mind in the general. During his time aboard the station, he was promoted to Line Captain.

At the end of his term, he was promoted to Commodore, and rewarded with his own flagship, the Bellator-class Dreadnought Aquila. He handpicked the crew, all of whom were Deralian or haf Deralian connections, and intensely loyal to him. He trained them himself, and the Aquila soon became one of the highest rated ships in the Imperial Navy. He was notable during this time for finally hunting down and destroying the former Separatist warlord known only as "Shiva".

This would all come to an end in 5 BBY, a year after taking command of the Aquila. Deralia, seeking autonomy and to get out from under the heels of an oppressive and prejudiced Moff, submitted a petition to the Imperial Senate seeking independence and the title of Client State. Instead, the Moff quickly spun it into the beginning of a rebellion, and led a brutal crackdown upon the Deralians. The order came to the ISB contingent on his flagship; he was to be arrested and executed as part of the purge of Deralians from the Imperial military. A daring rescue from the prison block of the Aquila was conducted by his own crew, who enabled him to take a shuttle and head to Deralia with the few other Deralian members of the crew. The weeks long battle on and over Deralia had devastated the Deralian forces, and he arrived when the battle seemed sure to lead to utter defeat and took command of the Deralian Navy. He was able to allow the evacuation of the Deralian Army and as many civilians as was possible, all while holding off the Tammuz Sector Fleet in a numerically disadvantaged situation. While he held on as long he could, even he ultimately had to retreat, and the Imperial reprisal upon Deralia was swift and absolute with a genocide that lead to the death of 70% of the entire system's population.

After months of outrunning Imperial forces, the remnants of the Kingdom of Deralia arrived in the Tion Hegemony and secretly settled on a backwater world. Meanwhile, the Empire followed through with a purge of all Deralian personnel from its forces. His sister was killed in the Deralian Genocide, and his brother was killed through the Deralian Purge. After spending a year in the Hegemony, ensuring that his people were safe and secure, he marshaled the remnants of the Deralian military into a dedicated fighting force that moved out from the Hegemony, on the warpath against the Empire. Committed to destroying the Empire's warfighting capabilities in the Tammuz Sector and around the Tion Cluster, he first dedicated to disrupting the continued and sluggish set up of the Triellus Oversector, which ultimately failed due to his efforts.

While his campaigns were largely successful, a strike at the Marleyvane Shipyards ended disasterously, nearly causing his death, and the heavy losses experienced in the battle along with it, rendered his forces ineffectual for a year. Once he is able to recover from the loss, the Alliance to Restore the Republic is formed by the resistance movements of Alderaan, Chandrilla, and Corellia. When his diminished forces are unable to have the effect they once did, and hearing that the two biggest independent Resistance movements, Mical de Crion's United Resistance Movement and Royce Tomson's Ruusan Reformation League, had joined the infant organization known more commonly, and simply, as the Rebel Alliance, he does the same.

With the exponential increase in military power for the Alliance, and following the success at Kamino, the Rebel leadership decided to make a leadership change, moving Juno Eclipse into Starfighter Command, where she would stay until Jan Dodonna's capture. This left the role of Supreme Allied Commander of Fleet Command open, and a job in which he was placed. The job was not easy however, as he faced a fight between Rebel leadership and the various resistance organizations themselves. While he was able to gather nearly all notable resistance movements into the Alliance, he is forced into a confederal organization by weary leaders, many of whom still remembered his notability as an Imperial officer and were nearly as antagonistic to him as they were towards the Empire. He attempted to adopt a unified rank structure and uniform as well as a unified order of battle and organization, but failed due to resistance from various resistance leaders against him.

Upon the rescue of Ackbar, and the discovery of the military brilliance of the Mon Calamari as well as his ability to bring his people into the Alliance, he was forced out as Supreme Allied Commander of Fleet Command in favor of Ackbar, citing the Fleet's lack of progress against the Empire. In a moment of honesty, he admitted that it is a release to be relieved of command, after two years of fighting with the various resistance leaders and the constant suspicion of him despite the horrors wrought upon his people. It was less a matter of his leadership or ability and more so a matter of internal struggle and politics which kept the Alliance military as a ragtag force, and it was Ackbar's lack of Imperial ties and indomitable will which forced the necessary change.

He decided, after the dragged out fights of the past two years, to stand back from leadership for a time, and took a post at the base on Yavin. Acting as commander of the local naval forces, he worked to simply protect the base. He was the main source of Yavin Base's security protocols, and assisted in much of its set-up following the initial work by General Dodonna. Following the destruction of Alderaan, he was part of a team which went out to survey the damage and search for possible survivors. It was a moment that he was not prepared for; seeing the end-result of a project he was a part of, and witnessing an amount of destruction he did not think possible. He knew of the capabilities of the Death Star, but never thought the Emperor or Tarkin would go this far. Upon returning to Yavin, the day before the fateful battle, he resigned his commission out of disgust of himself, saying that he did not deserve to wear the uniform of the Alliance for what he had once been a part of.

While waiting for possible transport out to the Tion Hegemony, he found himself bore down upon by the Death Star itself. After witnessing the victory over the Empire and the destruction of the galaxy's worst terror, he felt a release. When the Empire began its retribution, he was asked personally to return to duty, which he did so. He took command of the naval forces around Yavin, along with Admiral Ackbar. His fleet, which at this point consisted of two CR90 Corvettes and a single MC80 Star Cruiser, used hit and run tactics to confound and frustrate the Imperials, allowing countless freighters and shuttled through the blockade. While a battle of attrition, the overwhelming force that blockaded the entire sector meant that with every victory came even more defeats.

Eventually, support came from Ackbar's forces, which allowed him to move to a dedicated station for desperately needed repairs, having previously relied upon hiding in deep space, and on more than one occasion, inside Yavin itself. Once repaired, he returned, to Yavin IV and provided support to the full evacuation of Yavin Base. At her insistence, he allowed Princess Leia guide the fleet to safely escape. Ever since that moment, he was an adamant and fierce supporter of her.

Following Yavin, he served as interim Supreme Allied Commander of Starfighter Command. When asked if he wanted it permanantly by Mon Mothma, he declined, citing previous issues with his command; resulting in Juno Eclipse becoming a Supreme Allied Commander onc more. However, he swore that he wished to stay with the Alliance and avenge not only his people but the people of Alderaan. He was given command of the newly formed Sixth Battle Fleet, and proceeded in a campaign to reduce or eliminate the Empire's starship and starfighter manufacturing capabilities; transferring his flag to the Dauntless-class Heavy Cruiser Vanguard. While important, the campaign left him to be of little note for the next three years.

It was not until the campaigns leading up to the Battle of Endor that in fact saw him take a notable role again for the Alliance. His fleet, being part of the massing at Sullust, he was part of a diversionary assault upon the shipyards at Sluis Van, which was made in an effort to ensure all forces in the Southern Outer Rim were diverted towards him, rather than the Command Fleet that would made the assault on the Second Death Star. While this plan was ineffectual for the Command Fleet due to the presence of the Death Squadron, it did succeed in disabling the Sluis Van Shipyards.

Afer the reorganization formation of the Alliance of Free Planets, he assumed command of an independent task force that he continued to command from the Vanguard. After the formation of the New Republic, he took command of the reformed Second Battle Fleet, now the Second Battle Group, which absorbed his task force and the remains of the Fifth and Sixth Battle Fleets. Following his fleet's reorganization he was held at Endor to support the still existent Command Fleet, until it merged into the Third Battle Fleet which was then commanded by Ackbar for the push into the Core Worlds.

While Nantz rested his forces at Mrlsst following the initial breakout from Endor, he led his fleet in a campaign along the Rimma Trade Route, along with the First Battle Group's movement along the Corellian Trade Spine, the Third Battle Group's movement along the Hydian Way, and the Fourt Battle Group's movement along the Corellian Run. Eventually he drove into the Tapani Sector, liberating it, and pushing  to Belgaroth, which the Imperials abandoned rather than fight for. He held in the Tapani Sector for the next two years, fighting off Imperial resistance movements and insurgent Tapani nobles until the area was pacified, and then participated in the Liberation of Coruscant. He later transferred his flag to the MC80 Home One-type Star Cruiser Champion which he used to command the task force that was used in the seizure of Kuat. While uneventful, he understood the strategy at hand and his cooperation, and record for military success, led to his appointment as the new commander of the Fourth Battle Group, a capacity he served in until his next assignment, being the commander that took the brunt of Grand Admiral Thrawn's campaign.

After Thrawn was defeated, the New Republic found itself both realizing how real of a threat the Empire still was were it to ever reorganize and how immediate its already realized need was for modern warships. Once relieved of command, he was placed in charge as Director of the New Class Modernization Program, overseeing and coordinating all New Class development, and simultaneously being appointed as Director of the Technology Section of the Combined Defense Forces of the New Republic. During this time, he was a major advocate of the need for the members of the New Republic to have standing and combat effective militaries of their own if the New Republic was to continue down the path of avoiding the sectorial defense strategies of the Empire. His was a voice, among many, that was surprisingly well-listened to. During the Black Fleet Crisis, he saw the fruit of his labor as the newly formed Fifth Battle Group, made entirely of New Class vessels, single-handedly fought a war for the New Republic.

Following the Black Fleet Crisis, he commanded the First Battle Group in its first deployment since the re-taking of Coruscant. With his old flagships unavailable, Admiral Ackbar now commanding from the Executor-class Star Dreadnaught Guardian, and weary of the impression it would give to have a former Imperial officer command a fleet from an Imperial-class Star Detroyer, despite his wish to command from the Rebel Dream; he transferred his flag to the MC90 Star Cruiser Galactic Voyager. His time in command of the First saw him and Admiral Kiles L'toth, who commanded the Fifth Battle Group, assist Admiral Ackbar, who was commanding the Third Battle Group, in cornering the Imperial Remnant into its modern territory, until he was needed yet again for research & design assignments.

Shortly after signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom Treaty, he took an immediate leave of absence. In the twenty-six years since the devastation of his homeworld, the Rebel Alliance nor the New Republic made an effort to liberate his world. At first not militarily feasible due to constant larger concerns elsewhere, and then deemed not a concern by Chief of State Gavrisom, he and the exiled Deralians had had enough. Following the death of the Emperor, Deralia fell under the sway of an Imperial warlord. Upon his fall, Imperial sympathizers took over the planet and brutally oppressed the local resistance movement, in addition to beginning to sell every natural resource of Deralia possible to various warlords and using select portions of the planet as waste disposal sites. No longer able to stand the raping and pillaging of their world that was resulting in environmental crises, the remains of the Deralian military were gathered under his command and fought to retake their world. They had no allies and were even chastised by the Gavrisom administration for vigilante behavior, but the Deralians finally secured their homeworld and began the process of rebuilding. Once Deralia was secure, he returned to service with the New Republic.

Upon his return, he continued his service as the overseer and coordinator of the development of the Viscount-class Star Defender and it's prototype, the Viscount, as Director of the Viscount Project, which was put into his hands following the success of the New Class Project. Since its completion several months ago, he was assigned as commander of the Fifth Battle Group, finally stepping down as Director of the Technology Section. There are rumors that he will succeed Sien Sovv as Supreme Commander, many favoring him due to his ability to get things done, stay independent, and his consistent effort to remain out of and above politics.
