| Mave sitting in his Chiss shuttle, marked with the diplomatic markings, was just entering Coruscants' atmosphere. Mave was sitting in the lounge of his shuttle, made into an office for him, looking over some paper work. This day marked a very important day for Mave, it would be his first appearance as the head of Chiss diplomatic service. He had kept himself in isolation since he was found. He was still amazed that twenty-five years had past, it had seem like an eternity to him from the time he went into that stasis pod. Yet also at the same time it felt like only a few moments, like a nice long sleep, and of course the wake up was brutal. Less than a year ago he was adopted into the Nuruodo house like most of his former house. Mave never really knew about his own people except the bits and pieces that he learned from Grand Admiral Thrawn in the short time he accompanied them. Everything was hard and a lot for Mave to take in, yet he was taking it quiet well. He still was haunted though in his dreams about his past, as Emperor Palpatine's eyes. The crimes he committed were horrifying, though almost no one knew of them he did. The Ascendancy though took him in, realizing he had no choice in what he did. Of course when he did have a choice he took what some would say the just path.
Mave was interrupted from his thought and paper work by a knock on the door. Mave pushed a button on his desk while simultaneously saying in a cool, calm tone "Come in". A young female Chiss officer entered the entry way into the lounge. She spoke stating that they had now entered Coruscant and were on their way to the Jedi Embassy. Mave's presence was unexpected there as the Ambassador for the Ascendancy was taking a tour there and making relations with the Jedi. Mave made it seem like it was too important for him not to be there but in reality he had his own plans. He was crashing the party per say but he couldn't help feeling a presence in the force he hadn't felt for a very long time. Mave put his paper work back together and into a secured case standing up from behind his desk. He then walked over to the officer and handed the case to her "Put it in the safe, make sure it is guarded." She snapped to attention then left Mave's presence, Mave continued to walk through the shuttle preparing to disembark at the Jedi Embassy. His honor guard already in place, as they were moving through the sky-lanes of the planet wide city.
The shuttle came to the main landing pad of the Jedi Embassy and slowly touched down softly. As the shuttle door opened Mave stood back allowing his Honor Guard to exit first in ceremony. The young female Chiss officer now back at Mave's side acting as his secretary, the daylight shined through the door way yet no one could really see in from the outside. Once Mave's honor guard was in formation and their weapons at present arms he slowly walked out of the shuttle and down the exit ramp of the shuttle. He was wearing a dark blue militaristic uniform with golden shoulder pads, and a black shoulder cape over his left side. His blue skin and red eyes shined bright due to the oxygen of the planet, his black hair covering most of his facial scars. Mave looked calm and serious as he came up to the Chiss Ambassador, who was no doubt confused and worried. Mave walked up to him, with his acting secretary following closely behind, placing his right hand on his left shoulder looking the other Chiss man in the eye. Mave calmly spoke "I couldn't miss this opportunity to set in relations with the Jedi. After all Ambassador they should know who the Ascendancy places at the head of the diplomatic service." The Ambassador nodded and seemed to calm down a bit though was still shocked, maybe a bit angry at Mave's uninvited appearance. Mave then turned forward, and became shocked himself as he saw the presence in the force he had felt. He couldn't help but let out a small smirk as some Jedi were approaching him. In the group he saw his old companion, Mara Jade.

| The Jedi Headquarters were in fact a domed structure underneath which sat the ruins of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Damaged by the raid during the execution of Order 66 at the end of the Clone Wars and damaged even further by various Force users over the proceeding years, it was deemed too costly at the time of the New Jedi Order's founding and the reclamation of Coruscant by the New Republic following Palpatine's final death to be repaired or rebuilt. It could have been brought up now with the peace to the New Republic, but anti-Jedi sentiment was quick to rear its ugly head within the New Republic. While not a majority, it was certainly a vocal minority and enough to cause political issues whenever the subject of funding to the Jedi came up in the Senate. It did not help that Chief Fey'lya seemed to be no fan of the Jedi either.
Mara was here, giving a tour of the facilities that delegates were allowed access to, by request of the Chiss for their Ambassador. The Chiss were in fact seemingly weary of any Jedi but herself or her husband; asking for her or him by name to meet with their Ambassador at the Jedi Headquarters. She was intent on showing the Chiss that all Jedi could be trusted, and so lead a delegation consisting of herself, her niece and apprentice Jaina Solo, fellow Jedi Master Kyle Katarn, and Jedi Knights Jaden Korr and Rosh Penin. Jaina and herself were preparing to head to Rhommamool with Leia Organa Solo to negotiate an end to the Osarian-Rhommamool Conflict once this meeting was concluded, with the Jade Sabre sitting on the landing pad that the Chiss Shuttle had just landed on. Leia was on her way to the Jedi Headquarters for the mission, and to possibly meet with the Chiss Ambassador.
Her attention was drawn to the incoming shuttle. She could not think of any reason another Chiss delegation would be approaching the Jedi Headquarters or joining them. She felt a pang in the back of her head, of something familiar. It was like feeling the sense of déjà vu without the memory. It put her on edge as she felt old instincts kick in. It unnerved her that this pang would cause her Emperor's Hand training to kick in before she could stop it. She did not react physically however, but she was now on full alert.
By the time they had walked up to greet the Ambassador, the new Chiss and his delegation he also met him. As the new Chiss came forward, everything came together. It was as if looking at a unworked puzzle that suddenly solved itself. The face. The signature in the Force. She knew exactly who this was in front of her, and every alarm in her head was going off. She felt the fight or flight instinct kick in but for some reason her body could not choose either. She felt her heart rate increase, her skin became slightly flushed, and despite it being a gorgeous, perfect day, she began to sweat. Her instinct was to immediately grab for her lightsaber and cut down the man before her, but something stopped her.
"You..." was all she could manage to say as she stared into the past incarnate.

| Mave stood there very calmly as he saw Mara's reaction to his appearance here. Mave turned to the Ambassador and in a calm, almost eerie voice "You see Ambassador, there is all right to fear the Jedi. Look before you, the former hand of the Emperor herself here in the ranks of the Jedi." Mave the turned back to face the Mara and the other Jedi calmly walking up to them stopping a few feet away with his secretary close behind him. He then looked at Mara "Yes, I lived your efforts didn't work. I wonder though how long it took you to see pass the late Emperor's lies? You were so foolishly devoted to him. I must admit I'm surprised to see you here with those you once consider your worst enemies. But now all is forgiven, right? Now you're one of them, but are you truly?"
Mave's honor guard then put their rifles at shoulder arms and turned sync facing Mave and the Jedi. Mave then raised his hand up for a second then putting it back down. The honor guard then did an about face and marched back to the shuttle, and the Chiss Ambassador joining Mave's side opposite side of that his secretary was standing. Mave then continued to speak "I'm sorry, the rest of you Jedi Masters don't know who I am. My name is Mythran'van'Nuruodo, I am the head of the Ascendancy's diplomatic service. Me and Mara have an old history together, that unfortunately ended on not good terms. But that doesn't matter I am here for the Ascendancy and I shall overlook such grievances. This is a time to create a relationship between our peoples and cultures, in the hope to make the galaxy as a whole a better place."
Mave then bowed his head to the Jedi in respect then gave Mara a long emotionless stare, not conveying hatred or even a hint of any emotion. In truth Mave was a little confused with his emotions at this point. He felt some anger towards Mara since she tried to kill him, as well as happiness seeing that she was over Emperor Palpatine's influence, and a sense of I told you so.

| By instinct, she took a defensive step back, while simultaneously leaning into her stance towards him.
“But he shouldn't fear the Eyes of the Emperor?,” she asked rhetorically before she felt a tinge of anger as he continued which resulted in an involuntary closing of her fists.
“He lied to all of us. About everything. Do you believe you are the only one who can see the truth?,” she asked, although this time the rhetorical nature of the question was less clear.
She didn’t get a chance to respond to him again. Kyle stepped forward, clearly perturbed by the display of a few moments ago. Off in the distance, a slowly increasing whine indicated a speeder was incoming from the outer edge of the no-fly zone around the Jedi Headquarters.
“If you’re here to create a relationship, you probably shouldn't start off by blatantly disrespecting a leader; regardless of history,” said Katarn.
Agitation was clear in his voice, and it was likely the Chiss Ambassador was seeing the rather pleasant and educational experience he looked forward to with the Jedi fall apart in front of his very eyes. The Jedi would likely not take much more abuse from Mave, regardless of his personal opinion of the affair. Mara Jade was one of them, and they would stand with her. So far, Mave had shown his interest was more in agitating Mara rather than a diplomatic visit to the Jedi Headquarters. Were there not a change soon in the tone of the visit, the Jedi were likely to end it.

| Mave stood straight and calm letting Mara Jade speak what she wish to speak to him. Then Mave went to say something in return when Master Kyle Katarn stepped forward and spoke. Mave gave a sharp look over to him then let out a small grin before looking back into Mara Jade's eyes. He spoke in a change of tone, one much more inviting.
"You mistake my words for harm, when actually they are of happiness and relief. I am happy to see you no longer with that monster Mara, and am I correct in what I heard? You are even married now, to none other than Luke Skywalker. It actually pleases me to see you find some form of peace. Believe it or not I did consider you a friend and now that we both are released from our bondage to the late Emperor, I would once again like it to be so."
Mave then stepped closer to the Jedi in a non-threatening manner.
"Believe it or not we need each other, and I'm not talking about just me and all of you. Our people need each other, the forges of friendship for the Chiss, Republic and the Jedi would benefit us all. Don't you agree? But If I may make one request, Mara after the tour is over if you could spare even more of your valuable time to talk in private. I would wish to have some answers to questions that I've had for a very long time. Of course I'm willing to set your mind at ease and answer any you might have me as well"
Mave then took off the small cape on his left shoulder, handing to his secretary, showing he was unarmed. Once the cape was removed he looked at Mara to see what kind of reaction and answer she would give him.
