Rosalie was born on Coruscant to Renee and Amare Graves. At the time of Rosalie's birth, Renee was Amare's mistress, and second only to his wife, Lavenia. Lavenia had 'heart problems', which rendered her ill most of the time. Unknown to anyone, Renee was slowly poisoning the woman, and she died shortly after Rosalie was born.
Amare quickly wed Renee, much to the disdain of his eldest daughter, Sage. The new Mrs. Graves felt Sage was a threat to her own daughter and arranged an 'accident', a fire in which Sage perished. The twins were not a threat to her, as they left home at the age of 17 to join the Rebellion.
Rosalie grew up with her mother and father, knowing nothing of her mothers murderous ways. She was close to her father, and the aging man loved to tell her old wives tales of their family and their past. These stories encouraged Rosalie to study history, archeology and geneology when she was in school and university. Her passion for history and archeology also helped her to land a position with the New Republic, which allowed her to travel freely.
While she did her job well, her secret passion was the history of her family, and their involvment in the Cult of Issomir.
